Casa Trovão is a Portuguese crafts store, next to the Santa Maria da Vitória Monastery. Here, where centuries-old traditions intertwine with modernity, you will witness good taste in everything you observe.
In the store, you can see the store owner’s cork wedding dress on display (worn by herself on her wedding day) which has become a business card for the store, due to its uniqueness.
It is at Casa Trovão that you will find the best selection of cork items nationwide, in addition to traditional corks, you can see a true world of items made from this noble material!
It is also here that you can visit an extraordinary exhibition of hand-painted tiles.
Casa Trovão feels enormous pride in promoting what is typically Portuguese.

A História
A Casa Trovão provém de uma empresa familiar com mais de 60 anos de história que tem evoluído ao longo dos tempos, tornando-se hoje um dos principais pontos de venda especializado em artesanato de Origem Nacional.
Em 1996 Joana Trovão (filha e neta de comerciantes) com o falecimento do seu Pai torna-se a responsável da loja, deixando a meio o curso de Publicidade e Marketing para se dedicar em pleno ao comércio de artesanato. Decidiu integrar a cortiça no negócio familiar em 2006 e a Inovação tomou lugar.
Tudo isto com o intuito de manter vivo o espírito da cultura Portuguesa.
