CEREJO PANELS

A hand-painted tile panel created to portray some of the landscapes and scenes that form part of the identity of the village of Cerejo.

Commissioned by the Vale do Massueime Parish Council, in the municipality of Pinhel, this project transforms local references into a visual composition designed to celebrate the village and what makes it unique.

Between landscape and memory

Throughout the panel, different elements of Cerejo’s landscape and everyday life come together in a representation that reflects the character of the village and its connection to the surrounding territory.

Through hand painting, each element gains detail, expression and authenticity, resulting in a unique panel with a direct connection to the place it represents.

A TRIBUTE TO THE VILLAGE

This project shows how tiles can go beyond decoration, becoming a way to tell stories, preserve memories and celebrate local heritage.
